He was a Japanese composer, and is regarded as one of the pioneers of electronic music and space music. Tomita was also one of the most famous producers of analog synthesizer arrangements. I first became familiar with Tomita from his album "Pictures at an Exhibition", and "Ballet of the Chicks in their Shells." I have always wanted to undertake an extended examination of his music, a dissection as it were, of the techniques he used. I always thought I would need at least a year to perform this task before I could have any hope of producing anything even remotely listenable. I have been fascinated for many years with producing synthesizer arrangements of classical music and hymns. ===== Bibliography ===== * https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isao_Tomita
